The World Academy of Medicine is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 in Salzburg and is recognized as a non-profit organization by the Ministry of Finance, Department of the State of Salzburg of the Republic of Austria.

The aim of the “Academy” is to support the exchange of medical know-how between different countries
.
The Members of “The World Academy of Medicine” are a selected community of highly qualified specialists with an excellent international reputation. They are accredited to do specialist training in their medical fields.

Since 1999 “The World Academy of Medicine” consists of members of 30 countries of different continents, with a total of 229 members.

Activities of “The World Academy of Medicine”:
International Exchange Programme
Since 1999 the Academy has supported the International Exchange of 262 medicine students and physicians to obtain an experience in an international recognized medical department.

Annual Meeting with a Scientific Programme

Bi-Annual Meeting of all Participants of the International Exchange Programme

Annual Meeting of Specialist Plastic Surgeons

Humanitarian Assistance

for people with injuries to obtain a plastic surgical treatment, if this is not possible in their country of origin.

Medical Task Force
a special group to assist people in development countries and also in regions with exceptional situation under emergence.
