of „The World Academy of Medicine“!

„The World Academy of Medicine“ was founded 1998 and the first celebration of the Foundation Act took place on December 11th, 1999.

„The World Academy of Medicine“ is an international worldwide medical scientific organisation nation-independent, non-governmental and self-sufficient based on the principle of autonomous sustainability.

The aim of the Academy is to promote the International Exchange of know-how and technology in the medicine to improve the quality of the medicine level and medical assistance worldwide as well as Health Care accessible for everybody.

The Academy is financially supported by donations, membership fees and fees obtained through scientific events.

We are very proud of our continuous growth with progressive acquisition of very well renowned professors from different countries that philanthropically support our activities without charging the Academy for their work.

From 1999 until 2025 the Academy could support around 400 “FELLOWS”, professionals and students from different countries, who could absolve a stay abroad in a centre of excellence in a medical field chosen by themselves to improve not only their scientific, but also their cultural knowledge, intercultural understanding and multicultural friendship.

From the Act of the Foundation until now the Academy was constituted only by Founder Members, who have participated the Foundation act, Honour Members, who have done a significant contribution to the growth and development of the Academy, Ordinarius Professor Members, who have received and educated our fellows and fellow participants of the International Exchange Programme with their generosity and hospitality.

Additionally we have also the category of Benefactor Members, personalities, who have done a significant financial contribution to the development of the Academy. Because of discretion these personalities are listed together with our Honour Members.

A lot of friends, family members and other personalities who cannot be included in one of the above-mentioned member categories have asked how they could get a Membership of the Academy.

We are very happy to inform that from January 1st, 2019 the Academy has opened the opportunity for people, who are interested to participate the Academy as Member to be an Associate Member. Corporations that are interested in the activities of the Academy are also welcome to apply for a Corporate Membership.

In 2025 we are celebrating the 26th Anniversary of the Academy with more than 1000 notable Faculty Members of the Academy Congregation representing 50 countries and about 400 Fellow Members Former Participants of our worldwide famous International Exchange Programme!

We are proud and honoured with your visit and to present you our Members and our Programmes.

We hope to enjoy together an united association with motivated active members for a commune goal.
